IT'S TIME TO PILOT YOUR OWN SHIP THROUGH ROUGH SEAS AND NEW HORIZONS

We spend so much time living our lives according to a plan, and usually, it isn't our plan. Our parents want us to play certain sports or learn musical instruments or do something to help them recapture their lost youth. Society tells us to go to college and learn corporate obedience. We then get a job and we are told to get married and have kids so we can get into the cyclic nature of American society where taking risks is considered an adverse taboo. Thus we see our dreams fade away on the horizon.

We say that it's time to stop being a deckhand. Seize the wheel and change course before you're so far from where you wanted to be that it takes even longer to get back on track. Of course, if you want all of those things we just mentioned by all means go for it. But if you wanted to start your own business, learn a new skill, travel, or just do anything other than what you are doing, it's time you go do it.

You'll be called crazy, irresponsible, or unrealistic but those are words of cowards, people who gave in to the system and fear leaving its comfort. Take charge, and captain your own ship. Sail off into the sunset and be the person you dreamed about growing up. On the great ocean of life, the horizon is endless. Seek it!
